Italian and German courses and autonomous language learning.

Free Italian courses funded by the European Social Fund for non-EU individuals over the age of 16: levels A1 and A2, 40 hours.

For levels from B1 to C1 and for EU individuals, Italian and German courses are offered at a participation fee. Check the available options  

The linguistic integration of students in schools is supported by the Language Centers.

Study materials: available online or at the Self-Directed Language Learning Centers.

Examinations for non-EU citizens

Integration agreement:

It is sufficient to obtain any certification of Italian language knowledge with the A2 minimum level for spoken language (CEFR). Alternatively, you can pass the specific test at the  at the Istituto Walther in Bolzano. More informationRegistration

it is necessary to pass the A2 level Italian test at the Istituto Walther in Bolzano.

Italian citizenship:

it is necessary to pass the B1 level Italian test, organised in the province of Bozen/Bolzano by the language agencies. For exceptions see the official gazette.
